WFFM Forms

  • Stored by default in /sitecore/System/Modules/Web Forms for Marketers/Local Forms folder
  • Can contain any number of sections and fields
  • Compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 and XHTML 1.
  • Developers can convert to sublayouts (.ascx file) and edit in Visual Studio

WFFM Form Structure

  • Form Title is the name of the form that is displayed at the top of the form
  • Introduction is the text displayed after the form title that contains useful information that visitors should know before they fill your form
  • Sections and Fields contain the main content of the form
  • Footer is the piece of text displayed below all the sections and fields
  • Submit Button is the button which triggers the actions associated with this form
  • Success is the message or page displayed after the form has been submitted successfully

WFFM Form Guidelines

  • Use forms folders to organize different types of forms
  • Create forms folders based on /sitecore/templates/Web Forms for Marketers/Forms Folder template
  • Add the forms folders under /sitecore/system/Modules/Web Forms for Marketers/Website/
    • Form folders created directly under /sitecore/system/Modules/Web Forms for Marketers/ are not displayed in the Select a Form dialog box
    • Only WFFM forms under Sample Forms or Website are displayed in the Select a Form dialog box
